Creativity ............

The weather has finally broken with one big storm and it is now sunny and clear again! Much needed rain will help the garden.
Thank you to all my special friends for the kind words you have written to me, it will be a long six months when Austin is away in Afghanistan and I appreciate your care and concern.
Still without my car which will only be ready some time next week! This has meant that I have had uninterrupted working time and have managed to complete two new bears. This is Constance all ready for a garden party with her floral trimmed hat and matching bag:
 and Bethany the pincushion bear
When we first moved into this house I found a pile of empty hanging baskets hidden under one of the shrubs. Salvaged and filled with a selection of fuchsias they are now looking quite amazing. Love fuchsias, the fairies of the flower world.

It has been interesting watching them grow and start to flower. I purchased the plants from the Farmer's market, each one just a 'plug'. Although I did select a variety I was starting to think that they were all going to be the same until they 'popped' open in glorious colour. So pleased with them.
The hoglet seems to have disappeared from the garden unless he has made a home for himself somewhere under the large honeysuckle bush. It was fun having him around for a few days, first hedgehog we have had close contact with.
Until next time......

Oh Constance and Bethany are the sweetest little bears ever!!!
Your garden is growing up so beautifully and the fuchsias you have photographed are amazing. They are like little dancing faeries for sure!
Blessings be with Austin as he serves, and to you while he is away.

Oh friend, your fushias are amazing!!! The colors are so vibrant & lush...I LOVE them & your photos capture their beauty perfectly.
When I was a little girl, I had a terrible habit, but the memory of it still makes my heart smile.
Whenever I passed a fushia plant on the way to & from school, I would go up to it & look for closed buds & pop them. Is that aweful, I wonder if that ruined the flower? But the sound of the little pop was so exciting to me, I just couldn't help myself.
I haven't thought about that for years, but your beautiful pictures just brought it all back! lol
And dear friend, please sign your son for me...I am truly beyond Thankful!!! :)
Hugs,
Susie
