Where Bloggers Create.......................

Karen Valentine's wonderful idea of a 'where bloggers create party' intrigued me and I can't wait to see all the pictures. I am amazed at the incredible blogs out there, what did we do before all this modern technology gave us another opportunity to be creative! It is also heartening that women still find time to create items of beauty even with their busy lives.
So here is my very small contribution to the 'party'.
I have recently moved half way across the world so my present creative space is quite small. We are renting a house in Brittany, France, which was originally a farm cottage with stable attached. The upper floor is divided into two biggish rooms with a central staircase with large landing. This is situated right under a window and as I need plenty of light to work, it seemed the ideal spot to set up my work space. Most of my creative supplies are still in storage in South Africa so I have only the very basics needed to create my miniature teddy bears. As well as making tiny bears I enjoy beading, crochet and embroidery/cross stitch. I also love to draw but just don't seem to find the time at the moment, although I carry my sketchbook and a supply of pencils in my bag!
My 'table' is a piece of wood balanced on two trestles. Works very well and can be moved easily. Fortunately as I only work with small creations my present fabric stash fits quite comfortably into the small area.
Quite a change from having an entire room with shelves and drawers for all the working stuff but hopefully I will have this again in the not too distant future.
So this is my small creative space, sorry the pictures are not too good, the light inside this house is not the best for taking photographs.

The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep. ~Paul Strand

I love the light source how it shines down on your creative space. I get the feeling you would make it work no matter where you call home. Hope your supplies arrive soon. The bears are too cute for words. Enjoy the party!

I love your space! Given the simple fact it is in FRANCE (be still my heart) then I would take it even it was the smallest place on the planet.

Hi Wendy -

Even though you aren't used to working in a smaller space, judging from your adorable little bears, you seem to be doing fantastically well! And to be able to create in such an inspirational location - I am green with envy! Thank you so much for sharing your space and artwork with us!
