Heard on the news that a soldier from his regiment of 3 para's had been killed by a roadside bomb. Sent a quick e-mail this morning and he almost immediately phoned to say he was fine. So a feeling of great thankfulness for our family. To the family of another soldier to die in Afghanistan I cannot begin to imagine how you must be feeling, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
As each day comes to us refreshed and anew, so does my gratitude renew itself daily. The breaking of the sun over the horizon is my grateful heart dawning upon a blessed world.

As a mother of three sons I can feel how you must do with every new day your son have to be a soldier in Afghanistan. And I am so glad, that my sons can be here by me.
I wish you and your family all the best and hope, god will bless your son!
What agony that must have been for you until you got the confirmation that all was well. Thank you to your son for his service. Blessings to you and yours
I sat in frozen fear, watching the cyclone hit the area where my daughter is in Queensland and Wendy I fully appreciate your feelings of absolute gratitude that your son is safe. It's such an overwhelming relief when your children are safe after having been in the path of danger. Stay strong and may the Lord take care of your family.

I also have a son in service, on a tour of duty currently, and I know how those quiet stretches and breaks in communication can be so.... stressful. So glad he was able to reassure you so quickly. Hugs.
