The House of the cream teas..............

As promised in between juggling stitching and many other mundane tasks here are the pictures taken last weekend at the 'Manor House' where we enjoyed a delightful cream tea. Must mention that the weather that afternoon was extremely unpredictable (typical English day) and the function was due to start at 2pm. We were about to leave home when the heavens opened and there was a spectacular storm. Just one hour later the sky was clearing and the sun shining rightly!

Yesterday was a rather wasted day spent taking cats to the vet. Merlin's skin problem has become so bad and the poor kitty is scratching himself to pieces with bald patches appearing all over his body. We have never had a problem with fleas just giving the cats a monthly application of Frontline. Presumably the previous tenants in this house had never bothered to much about protecting their animals and the house would seem to be infested with the tiny parasites! Merlin is now on a course of steroids and each cat has had an injection for a six month protection against fleas. We then had to spray the carpets and skirting with a noxious smelling spray, vacuum thoroughly and wash all the bedding etc. Hope this all works, my bank balance is showing the strain and I would rather have spent the day working on bears for Hugglets.
Now bears to be finished, the webpage to be updated and well wish there were more hours in the day. Until next time.............

I am having an out of money experience.  ~Author Unknown

Hi Heather
A cup of tea and a buttered scone with lots of thick whipped cream and home made raspberry jam. Really delicious.
