Packing......................

The packing is going slowly and we have boxes everywhere. I think that our kitties are feeling the strain as they are very aware that all this activity means a move once again. We are also still trying to work and be creative not easy when there is so much upheaval happening around us.
I still have to catch up with all the pictures of recent excursions so a good start would be the owls. A country fair was held in the grounds of the local animal welfare organisation on Easter Monday. It was a cool rather wet day and very muddy. A display of birds of prey included these two beautiful owls. I felt sorry for these beautiful creatures faced with a woman who kept taking photos with a bright flash and then there was the person with a small dog who kept barking and upsetting them.

Last Saturday I drove to London with the girls to a scrapbooking show at Alexandria Palace. Found that I am getting used to driving in London and don't feel quite so anxious 'tho I still don't like it very much. We have fond memories of Ally Pally as it was the venue for our very first UK bear fair some 15 years ago! It is situated on a hill overlooking the city of London and the view on a clear day is magnificent, this particular day was warm and sunny so some pics of a rather smoggy London with Canary Wharf in the distance and a beautiful flowering cherry tree in the foreground of the second picture.

Bronwen loves scrapbooking and was in heaven wandering around looking at all the wonderful stuff on offer. We managed to be controlled and not get carried away 'tho we did come home with ribbons and other 'beary' stuff. I did buy an embossing tool to use for my precious metal clay work (don't even ask about that part of my crafty life, need more time to do all the things I want to do).
The kitties have been enjoying the warmer weather so a final picture of Leila sunbathing. The shadow batman ears are Merlin sitting watching her.

Don't know when I will next find time to blog as the coming week promises to be extremely hectic as we move to our new home. To end I read the following on a blog recently, something I think all creative people can identify with.  Have a good week.

'God put me on this earth to sew and finish a certain number of things............. I am so far behind now I will never die!'

Good Luck!

... and the owls are lovely, the striking contrast between their eyes and feathers always entrances me.

Thank you Heather. The owls are fascinating creatures. They regard humans with such a superior air!
