Peace reigns .................

I cannot believe that it is so long since I sat down and updated my blog.

The presence of a very special little girl in our home meant a great deal less stitching time but it is somewhat quiet without Victoria.   I discovered that this little girl has a wicked sense of humour when she grabbed wet washing and ran down the garden screaming with laughter.   She thought it great fun and I perhaps remembered a valuable lesson that children grow up so quickly and time spent in their company is very precious.

I have managed to complete a little blue bear on a pincushion called  Fleur, now listed on e-bay.   Included in the selection of pins is a tiny hand sculpted bear made by polymer clay wizard Manda Theart.

The limited editions for Teddy Bears of Witney are all complete and I now have a backlog of new orders to complete, after which it will be time to start working on our special Christmas creations.   We will have our usual special web page show,  more details later.

When helping Austin and family move into their new home I did find a little time to visit the charity shops in Welwyn.    My findings included the Harrods wooden box, which painted and revamped will be perfect for my embroidery.   Found all the sewing supplies in an old tin, some quite collectible although not sure quite what we will do with the myriad of press studs/hooks and eyes.

We also received a wonderful gift from Korea,  a selection of the prettiest fabrics and printed fabric tapes.   It is hard to be disciplined and put this all on one side until later but we are both very behind with our work and are trying to keep to the principle of not starting anything new until all the UFOs are completed!

Winter seems to have arrived overnight and the days are getting shorter.   The garden does need tidying up but that will also have to wait until I have a few hours to spare.

Finally meet the latest addition to our menagerie.   Henry the rescue hedgehog is doing well after some special medication but will be resident until spring as he is just too small to face winter outside.

To all my friends who have written and not had a reply please bear with me,  I will eventually get around to writing.   Until next time ...................

I adore you pin cushion with the blue bear. Little feet running around does eat into sewing time. Although I would not have it any other way.
