Where Bloggers Create 2012 ..........

Karen Valentine from http://www.mydesertcottage.com/ is once again hosting the amazing 'Where Bloggers Create' party.

The last time I participated in 'where bloggers create' I was living in a small farmhouse in rural Brittany. My work space was the landing at the top of the stairs.

Some three years later I now share a room with my daughterMegan where we work together creating our miniature bears plus all the other crafts we both love.

This is my little corner which looks decidedly tidy for a change.  Having spent most of my life in Africa in a dry climate I am amazed at how dusty rural Cambridgeshire actually is.   No more keeping things around because they are pretty, within a few days they are coated with a layer of dust.

A picture with some of our latest bears, a small part of my personal collection of little bears and some of Megan's pretty cross stitch pincushions.

This is an overall view of this little space.  The oak spice rack has travelled the world with me,  made as a gift by husband many years ago it is now a good home for collectibles.  The window frame we 'rescued' from an overgrown field in France,  the 'bear' and ABC blocks are from Williams in Arizona, collected on our travels.  Jars of vintage threads, vintage flowers and a few sewing accessories.

This is the beading corner and general storage area.   Books, sewing machine and lots of beads!!

And finally a little kitty called Mischka who was determined to be in on the fun.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my studio, I am looking forward to seeing all the other creative spaces.

Hi Wendy! I make bears too! The smallest I have ever made was 8 inches and it almost drove me crazy - I cannot imagine how you make the minis! Of course the mohair cost is much better for a three inch that a 22 inch!! lol. I enjoyed my tour, thanks for sharing!
