Wonderful news is that Sasha is back home, a tired and rather sad kitty. The vet phoned to say that his blood tests showed a considerable improvement and as he was eating a little food, we could take him home. Hopefully he will continue to improve but the next few days and weeks will be rather worrying. He has spent the afternoon just sleeping but he seems so happy to be back home. He will be on kidney medication and a special diet for the rest of his days . The other cats had seemed to be missing him but have just ignored him since his return! Thank you all for your kind comments please keep this special little boy in your thoughts and prayers.
It will be a quiet New Year for our family, we have no plans to go anywhere so will celebrate the arrival of 2010 at home. This has been a year of many changes for all of us and it has not been an easy year. However, I had the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful parts of France, make new friends and prove to myself that I have the courage to take a big leap of faith. I have learned so much this past year, shed many tears and been upheld by encouraging and wonderful friends. Thank you to all of you out there, may 2010 prove to be all you wish for.
We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day. ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

I am so pleased that your dear cat is home. I know how it is to love a cat and still miss my Ziggy even though it is now over thirty years ago. Keep getting well Sasha, Maureen...
